The Diocese of Brooklyn sent all the parishes in the diocese an updated regulation memo regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.
Baptisms (except for emergencies), First Communions, and Confirmations are still postponed. We cannot yet announce new dates for these sacraments.
Upcoming weddings should also be postponed, if possible. Until further notice, weddings can only be celebrated with social distancing and with a bare minimum of attendees. We cannot guarantee when the diocese will relax these restrictions. Please contact a priest if you have any questions.
Reconciliation will be offered via appointment with a parish priest. Confessions should only take place if there is an absolute necessity, that is when one is conscious of mortal sin or in an emergency. If needed, the priest will advise the individual where the confession will take place (following the social distancing rule and wearing masks). Please call the rectory and a priest will get back with you to set up a date and place where confessions can be heard.
Anointing of the Sick will only take place in an emergency situation upon request. Please contact the parish if anointing is needed.
All public Masses are still suspended during this time and the church will remain closed until further notice. Please continue to watch the celebration of the Eucharist live on our parish Facebook page.
We thank you for your prayers and understanding during this difficult time. We are praying for all of you and ask that you continue to pray for the priests and parish. Once we get further instructions, we will post them on our Facebook page, bulletin, and parish website.
